Opportunities to learn to play croquet are available all year round. We’re always keen to encourage anyone to play croquet. It’s a fun and social game for all ages. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or if you’ve played a little before, we have open days and introductory courses to suit you.
Temporary Membership
Many croquet members start by taking out temporary membership, which is a very cost-effective way of trying out croquet. For just £30 you can join for a 6 week period during which there will be six, free coaching sessions to introduce you to the two croquet games most often played at Budleigh.
In this time, you can also book a court as often as you wish for practice, or to play with other Temporary or Full Members. Initial coaching sessions are currently held on Mondays but an alternative time will be offered for those who are in work, college or school - possibly an evening or at the weekend.
